Visit one of the most exiting and unique places in the world, a place where every day is a new experience. Cruising on an Icebreaker, riding husky dogs sleds, amazing landscapes and more than 500 km on a snowmobile, crossing the northern taiga forests from Finland to the Norwegian fjords in the northwest part of Europe. Being close to the Arctic Circle, enhance the chance to see one of the most amazing wonders of nature – the Northern Lights – Aurora Borealis.
Day 1 –Welcome to Rovaniemi, Lapland
Phototeva guide will welcome the travellers to Lapland’s capital – Rovaniemi.
After which, we will go to the safari house, where you will be equipped with special arctic safari outfits for the freezing temperatures of Lapland – thermal overalls, shoes, socks, gloves & under caps (All the gear is included!). After we are all set, we’ll head to Vaattunki. It is a wild forest area, where lumberjacks determined the unique atmosphere of the wild nature. A warm dinner will wait for us in the hotel after which we hope to see already the Northern Lights, aka Aurora Borealis!
Day 2 – Ice karting and the LumiLinna ice castle
This morning we will start with extreme ice Karting, an experience packed with adrenaline. After lunch we will continue to the Lumi Linnna ice-castle – a frozen castle and hotel that is re-built every year according to a unique theme.
Day 3 – Frozen falls and Husky dogs
After breakfast we will go on a hike. We will head down the snowy slopes to the magical frozen falls. The braves will try and climb all the way and touch the water that stopped purring. After we go back up, we will drive to the husky farm. The dogs will welcome us in the their typical canine way. then we will learn about the manner of their training and how to care for the Husky dogs. We will venture of a dog sleigh-ride in a wild and special terrain, carried by 6 dogs. At the end of the trip we will enjoy a warm beverage.
In the evening we will drive to Ivalo, 280Km from Rovaniemi
Day 4 – Ivalo – Sevetijärvi
In the morning we will get to know the snowmobile, our vehicle for the upcoming days.
Following a short briefing , we will embark on a 170 Km ride in between snowy wooden trails, we will drive over a frozen lake,one of the largest in Lapland, and will stop for lunch on one of its islands.
Your eyes will not believe the sight of the arctic scenery, the snow-covered woods and the vast white outdoors.
In the evening we will arrive at Sevetijärvi reindeer farm where we can enjoy a traditional Sami dinner and Finnish sauna.
We will undergo photography training on exposures in the snow and taking care of our equipment in extreme cold conditions.
After dinner we’ll venture in the attempt to “hunt down” the Aurora Borealis, if weather conditions allow.
Day 5 – Sevetijärvi – the Northern Sea – Sevetijärvi
Today we already have the experience in riding the snowmobile.
We will go on a safari ride to the north-most point in our journey. We will cross the border to Norway and arrive at one of the fishermen village at the shore of the frozen Northern Sea.
We will acquaint ourselves with the lifestyle of the local residences, living under extreme climate. The scenery across the Norwegian boarder is hard to express in words.
We will have lunch in the northern side of the Norwegian border and return to Sevetijärvi to warm ourselves in the sauna and eat dinner.
Day 6 – Sevetijärvi- Ivalo – Rovaniemi
This morning we will go on a safari ride on top of our snowmobiles back to Ivalo.
This time we will ride along the eastern coast of Lake Inari. The confidence we have gained so far while riding the snowmobile will allow us to kick it up a notch and experience the real power of these great machines.
In the afternoon we will reach Ivalo where we will part with our snowmobile and continue the drive back to Rovaniemi, and enjoy our last Sami night in town.
Day 7 – Rovaniemi, Santa’s village
After breakfast we will head to Santa’s Village located directly above the Arctic Circle where you can meet Santa and his little helpers and stock up with local gifts.
Our bus will take us to Rovaniemi airport where our extreme adventure will come to its end.

What are the chances of actually seeing the Northern Lights?
The Northern lights, or Aurora Borealis, are subjected to various conditions. the latitude of Rovaniemi is amazing for the illusive northern lights, with almost every other night a wonderful show is overhead.
Our incredible experience in Northern Lights chase and photography really increases the chances of seeing an amazing display almost every night. Thousands of our travellers have seen it with us, and we hope you will too!
That being said, of course we are dealing with nature and weather, so we can’t guarantee the phenomena, but we’ll do all we can to provide and most chances is an unforgettable display.

Snowmobiles are insured as required by Finnish law.
This insurance covers medical care for injuries of the driver and the passenger arising from accidents.
Liability for damage caused to the snowmobile up to the amount of EUR 890 per accident.
Not for Children under 16 years old.
We reserve the right to revise pricing due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control such as increase in fuel prices, labor costs, taxes, etc.
Safety – all our products include a detailed safety plan. Our guides have been trained in first aid, and they recognise the risks involved in our activities and take them seriously.
